Appointment information
We have a number of appointments available each day for emergencies which allows patients presenting with urgent medical problems to be addressed on the day.
Consulting doctors aim to run on time, so your punctual attendance will assist this.
There are times however, when your doctor may run behind schedule due to emergencies or earlier patient appointments running longer than planned. Our reception staff will endeavour to inform you of the wait time when you arrive for your appointment. You are also welcome to ring us prior to your appointment time to see if your doctor is running on time.
To ensure quality of care, the doctors prefer to see you in person for a consultation rather than liaise via telephone or email.
Appointments are required for:
- All scripts/repeat prescriptions
- All specialist referrals
- All medical certificates
- All results
- Completion of any paperwork (please book long appointment always)
Basic Appointment types
- Short appointment – one item to discuss
- Long appointment – 2-3 items to discuss
- Extended appointment – 4-5 items to discuss
Unable to attend your appointment / No longer need your appointment
Please advise reception staff with sufficient notice – at least 1-2 hours beforehand. This enables other patients who may live further away but need an appointment an opportunity to attend the doctor.
Cancellation / Wait list
A cancellation / wait list is available when doctors are fully booked. Please notify reception if you would like to be added to this list for the next available appointment.
